People often ask me how I got into photography and filmmaking, and the answer starts with a little green box.
Growing up, one of my favorite things to do was pull that green box out of our storage closet. Inside were old home videos of birthdays, family vacations, holidays, weddings, and all the wonderfully imperfect moments in between.
They weren’t cinematic. There were no fancy cameras, perfect lighting, or carefully planned shots. But none of that mattered.
What mattered was seeing my family together. Hearing their voices. Watching them laugh. Reliving moments that had long since passed. And as the years went on, those videos became even more meaningful because they gave me a way to revisit the people I loved who were no longer here.
That little green box taught me something I never forgot:
The moments we think we’ll always remember are often the ones we’re most grateful to have captured.
Fast forward a few years, and somehow, I became the person behind the camera creating those memories for other families.
I’ve had the privilege of documenting some of life’s biggest moments, especially the days when two people promise to choose each other for the rest of their lives. But what means the most to me isn’t simply creating something beautiful. It’s creating something that lets you feel the day all over again.
I’ve had couples tell me how much they love being able to hear their loved ones again, see everyone gathered together, and experience their wedding day in a way that photographs alone simply can’t provide.
That’s when I realized this wasn’t just something I enjoyed doing. This was my calling.
Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to constantly refining my craft—not just to make beautiful films, but to create something meaningful enough to live with you for generations.
Because years from now, I want you to be able to pull out your own version of that little green box, press play, and be right back there.
Right where you were.
With the people you love.
Living it all over again.
Shooting Style
When it comes to my style, I’m drawn to images that feel true to life. I love natural, timeless colors that feel just as beautiful years from now as they did the day they were taken.
My goal isn’t to create something that simply looks good today, but to create imagery that ages beautifully alongside your marriage, allowing you to look back decades from now and still feel exactly what you felt in that moment.
When it comes to filmmaking, I have a particular love for slow motion. There’s something special about slowing a moment down and giving you the chance to truly take it in: the way your partner looks at you, the tears in your parents’ eyes, the laughter shared with your closest friends, or the little moments you may not have even noticed happening.
Because your wedding day moves incredibly fast.
Slow motion gives us a chance to pause it.
To savor it.
And to relive those fleeting moments over and over again.
Travel
From the misty peaks of the Great Smoky Mountains to the warm, sun-soaked beaches of Mérida, Mexico, I’ve always loved the idea that some of life’s best memories happen somewhere new.
Whether your celebration is close to home or takes me across the country—or across the border—I’m always happy to pack my bags and come along for the adventure.
I haven’t been everywhere yet…but it’s definitely on my list.
